If you would like to gain research work experience that complements your studies in an academic setting, these awards can provide you with financial support through your host university. The agencies encourage qualified Indigenous and Black students to apply for this award.

The Calgary Stampede Youth Poster Competition is a unique youth achievement opportunity that provides talented youth with the opportunity to showcase their talent on a world stage. Generously funded by the Brandon Flock Foundation, the Dustin Peers Memorial Scholarship is one of Canada’s largest art scholarships. Talented young artists between the ages of 15-24 from across Alberta are invited to submit their artwork each fall for the chance to design the artwork for the Calgary Stampede Poster and take home the first place prize of a $10,000 scholarship.
Applicant must:
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
- Be studying music, specializing in Choral Music and Music Education.
- Be enrolled in third year of study or beyond of an undergraduate degree or studying at the graduate level.
- Be attending Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ of Alberta, Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ of Calgary, Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ of Lethbridge, Ambrose Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬, MacEwan Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬, Concordia Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ of Edmonton or The King’s Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬.
- Demonstrate a choral background, passion for teaching, music education for youth and leadership in choral conducting.
- Provide one letter of reference.
One award valued at $1,000, applied directly to tuition.

An award for Canadian students working in visual arts (Applied Arts, Drawing, Multimedia (excluding electronic), Photography, Painting, Print Making or Sculpture).
Applicants must be registered in full-time study at an Alberta post-secondary institution, entering final year of study.

For Alberta or British Columbia residents enrolled in first or second year of an undergraduate degree or diploma program at an Alberta or British Columbia post-secondary institution in an undergraduate degree or diploma program studying Theatre, Theatre Arts, Drama, Film, Radio, Television, Animation or Script Writing.
