Artist Models Wanted
The Department of Art is seeking models for art studio classes.
ALL body types welcome!
Casual hours: $20/hr (usually 2-3 hour session)
Models must be comfortable with being nude during the session.

Art Studios - Student Assistants
The Art Studios, located in the Centre for the Arts, are dedicated to the creation of artworks in areas of photography, printmaking, sculpture, drawing, painting, digital fabrication, among other mediums. Art studio student assistants provide general shop and studio maintenance support. Tasks include, but are not limited to: studio and workshop upkeep, cleaning, maintenance, painting, material prep. ect.
Experience Required:
- Art studio facility experience and familiarity
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work quickly, have a positive attitude, good communication skills, and ability to work under tight project deadlines
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions, and willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to lift weight up to 50 lbs
- Safety footwear
- Completion of Safety Checklist, including acknowledgment of SWP Manuals, Hazard Assessments, and WHMIS training
Rate of Pay: $17.20/hour

Positions are filled but we accept applications at any time.
Box Office Assistants are scheduled to sell tickets at the Box Office window, 12:30pm - 3:30pm Monday through Friday and for all evening and weekend shows. Box Office assistants often work as Front of House supervisors and will also take care of bar and concession during intermissions in the lobby.
- Good customer service experience
- Excellent availability weekday afternoons (must be available at least 2 afternoons a week from 12pm - 4pm inclusive) and good availability evenings and weekends of our events
- Knowledge and appreciation for performing arts
- Ability to learn quickly, have a positive attitude, good communication skills, and ability to work with urgency and accuracy in a fast-paced sales environment
- Pro-Serve Training required (certification provided if you don't have it, but you'll be required to complete it)
Rate of pay - Executive & Admin Grade 1 AUPE: $17.20/hour

Costume shop student assistants provide support with cutting, sewing, assembly, and costume maintenance.
Experience Required:
- Costume shop experience an asset
- Excellent demonstrated skills in machine and hand sewing, cutting, and quick repair and alterations
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to learn quickly, have a positive attitude, good communication skills, and ability to work under tight project deadlines
- Completion of Safety Checklist, including acknowledgment of Standard Operating Procedures, Hazard Assessments, and WHMIS training

The Scene Shop, located in the Centre for the Arts is an active facility dedicated to the construction of scenery and props for theatre productions, including the Department of Drama Mainstages and other programming. Scene shop assistants provide support with construction projects, paint applications, shop upkeep, cleaning, and maintenance.
Experience Required:
- Scene shop experience an asset
- Experience safely and comfortably operating scene shop power tools
- Ability to read and work with measuring tapes and tools with accuracy and efficiency
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work quickly, have a positive attitude, good communication skills, and ability to work under tight project deadlines
- Ability to lift weight up to 50 lbs and work at heights
- Safety footwear

Theatre technical student assistants provide assistance with stage setups, light hangs and focus, light construction work, and occasional sound setups.
Experience Required:
- Experience working in a theatre or as part of a performance or event crew is an asset
- Knowledge of standard safe working practices, equipment operation, and correct lifting techniques
- Demonstrated experience taking direction and working safely in teams
- Ability to work quickly, have a positive attitude, good communication skills, and ability to work under tight project deadlines

The Black Movie Night 2026 is an exciting film and culture experience dedicated to uplifting Black voices in cinema. This event offers a platform for local and international Black filmmakers to showcase their short films, share stories rooted in identity and heritage, and engage in meaningful conversations with the community.
馃搮 Date: February 20th, 2026.
馃搷 Location: Multicultural Movie Centre Downtown Lethbridge.
馃懃 Expected Attendance: 80 鈥 150 guests including filmmakers, students, creatives, families & the wider public
OUR VISION
This initiative strengthens cultural representation by:
- Showcasing diverse Black storytelling in film
- Providing visibility and recognition for emerging filmmakers
- Fostering inclusive community engagement and collaboration
- Encouraging young creatives to explore filmmaking

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
PROGRAMMING & EVENTS
鈼 Assists in the planning and deliverables for the Gallery鈥檚 annual Art Auction fundraiser;
鈼 With the support of the Curator & Exhibitions Manager, tracks and catalogs donated artworks and silent auction packages for the Art Auction;
鈼 With the support of the Curator & Exhibitions Manager, regularly checks email to respond to donating artist and business questions;
鈼 Coordinates directly with donating artists and businesses to ensure all donation forms and information are properly collected and filed;
鈼 Organizes and tracks digital artist files for the Art Auction;
鈼 Organized the timely delivery and shipping of donated artworks and packages;
鈼 With the support of the Curator & Exhibitions Manager, coordinates with artwork framer to ensure relevant artworks are framed in a timely manner according to artist specifications;
鈼 Ensures donated artworks and items are properly stored and organized prior to the Art Auction event;
鈼 Works collaboratively with the Programming team to support public programming such as workshops, artist talks, and exhibition tours, assisting with program set-up and delivery in January, February, and March;
鈼 Assists Programming staff by transferring the Gallery鈥檚 library database records to a new online hosting service (LibraryThing);
GENERAL
鈼 Develops professional relationships with the local arts community;
鈼 Represents the Gallery with a high degree of professionalism;
鈼 Effectively manages time in order to ensure that deadlines are realized;
鈼 Supports fundraising activities as needed (e.g.: prepares lists of artists and collectors to be invited to participate in the annual Art Auction; prepares text for marketing, etc.);
鈼 Participates in Gallery general staff meetings and activities;
鈼 Remains current with issues and best practices in the museum and gallery community;
鈼 Attends exhibit openings at the Gallery, and represents the Gallery in the local community at meetings, and professional organizations as appropriate;
鈼 Works with communications staff to identify marketing opportunities related to programs and events and facilitates the sharing of program information for this purpose;
鈼 Participates as a team player to ensure that the gallery runs smoothly; and
鈼 Other duties as assigned.
