This 50-course (150.0 credit hour) Combined Degrees program is jointly offered by the Faculty of Fine Arts and Dhillon School of Business. The combination of degrees provides a competitive advantage in the marketplace and opens up numerous professional prospects, creative pursuits and entrepreneurial opportunities.

What you need to know as a current student in this program
The Faculty of Fine Arts and the Dhillon School of Business jointly offer a 50-course (150.0 credit hour) Combined Degrees program leading to the degrees Bachelor of Fine Arts - New Media (BFA - New Media) and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA). Upon successful completion of the Combined Degrees program, you receive the BFA - New Media degree from the Faculty of Fine Arts and the BBA degree from the Dhillon School of Business.
Note: The BFA - New Media/BBA Combined Degrees program may be completed in 50 courses when the General Management major is chosen for the BBA degree. Students who choose to complete a different BBA major may be required to extend their programs beyond 50 courses.
For the BFA - New Media program there are some must-take courses that provide a great foundation for your major, but you'll also have flexibility in choosing courses for the path and creative study you wish to take. Refer to your Program Planning Guide in your calendar year for the courses you'll need to take and choose from within the New Media lists and as Electives.
- at least 30 courses (90.0 credit hours) with cumulative and graduation grade point averages of at least 2.00;
- a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 in all courses from the Department of New Media taken for credit towards the degree;
- at least 9 New Media courses (27.0 credit hours) at the 3000/4000 level;
- Completion of the Liberal Education List Requirement.
Remember that program requirements vary depending on the calendar year, which is usually the year of admission (or readmission) to ULethbridge. Therefore, requirements may differ from year to year even within the same major.
