* This includes outstanding documents, such as transcripts from other institutions, visiting student authorizations, etc.
Applications for Graduation are only accepted during the timelines as outlined above.
NOTE: Not sure if you'll meet your degree requirements but you might? Apply to graduate! It's free, and it's better to be safe (by applying) than sorry (by missing the deadline and having to wait for the next convocation).
How to Apply for Graduation
To apply for graduation:
- Log into the Bridge
- Select "Student"
- Select "Apply to Graduate"
- Select your last graded term of attendance
- Select your curriculum
- Select Graduation Date*
- Confirm your full-legal name
- Submit your request
You must apply to graduate via the Bridge during your final term, while still enrolled in courses. There is no fee to apply, and an application is required even if you do not plan to attend your Convocation ceremony.
*Please note: If you graduate in the Winter, your graduation date may not match the date of your Convocation ceremony. Please visit ulethbridge.ca/convocation and review the order of conferral to find your Convocation ceremony date and time.
Outstanding Accounts
If your account is not paid in full, you will not be permitted to graduate and your transcript will be withheld. This includes tuition, library fines and housing charges (including telecom charges). Please contact the Cash Office for information about outstanding accounts:

Graduation Approval Status
How to check:
- Go to the Bridge and click "Students"
- Near the top, in "Registration & Academic Essentials", click "View Graduation Application"
- Select the correct Graduation Application (if applicable)
- Review the status of your application (typically located near the top in the right)
- These are the potential statuses:
- Active Application
- Graduation Approved
- Graduation Requirement Not Met
- Inactive Application
When to check (after completing the application):
- If you are finishing your classes in the Fall semester, please check the status of your application approximately two days before February 1.
- If you are finishing your classes in the Winter or Summer semesters, please check the status of your application approximately two weeks before your convocation ceremony.
