Dhillon School of Business Wait-Listing

What is wait-listing?

Dhillon School of Business will accept requests from current/continuing students who were unable to access required Dhillon courses at their campus during initial registration for Fall (mid-March) and Winter (early November) terms. 

Dhillon courses include: Accounting (ACCT), Agricultural Enterprise Management (AGEM), Digital Transformation (DGTR), Finance (FINC), Global Business (GLBU), Human Resources and Labour Relations (HRLR), Indigenous Governance and Business Management (IGBM), Management (MGT), and Marketing (MKTG).

Although registration for Summer and Fall take place at the same time mid-March, THERE IS NO WAIT-LISTING FOR SUMMER COURSES. See wait-listing information for courses offered through other U of L Faculties

Why register when my registration window (time ticket) opens during initial registration?

  • Limited seats: The number of seats in a course is limited by the number students at each campus who need those seats. There is a short window during the wait-list period when, depending on the number of students who wait-list, additional seats may be added. After the wait-listing period ends, you will have to continuously check to see if someone drops the course so you can register on your own.
  • Course cancellation: If you wait to register in a course, it may be cancelled due to low registration numbers.
  • Wait-listing eligibility: To be eligible for wait-listing, you must register when your registration window (time ticket) opens during initial registration.

When can I wait-list?

Dhillon wait-listing begins during initial registration for Fall in mid-March and for Winter in early November.

Can I wait-list for a Dhillon School of Business course at another campus?

No. Course seats are allocated by the number of students at each campus so you can only wait-list for courses offered at your campus. See more information on switching campuses and Dhillon course registration here.

How do I wait-list for a Dhillon School of Business course?

1. Look up the course subject & number, campus, section, and CRN for the Dhillon course you want to wait-list for in the timetable on the . For example: ACCT 3160, Campus = Lethbridge, Section = A1, CRN = 10033.

2. Ensure the following eligibility is met:

  • The Dhillon course is offered at your campus.
  • You attempted to register for the Dhillon course when your registration time ticket opened during initial registration.
  • The prerequisites and corequisites are met (or will be met with currently registered courses) before the beginning of the upcoming term.
  • There are no holds on your student record or account.
  • The Dhillon course is required for your currently declared major(s) and must be taken in the upcoming term for sequencing or for graduation.
  • You are not already registered in another section of the course. In other words, section preference (unless there is course conflict with another required course) is not a valid reason to wait-list.
  • The course does not conflict with your other registered courses and does not exceed the course limit (16.5 credit hours) or you will indicate a course to be dropped in its place.

3. Contact a Dhillon School of Business advisor at your campus to explain the reason you were not able to register in the course during initial registration and why you need to take the course in the upcoming term. If you are contacting by email, use your Uleth email and provide your student ID and the course information obtained in step #1 above.

4. Lethbridge campus students who have received a wait-list code from an advisor should submit a separate wait-list request for each course through the Wait-List Request form

What if I am not eligible for wait-listing or I missed initial registration and wait-listing?

If you were admitted to the 免费福利资源在线看片 after wait-listing was over for the upcoming term, you will likely have multiple course options, but can contact a Dhillon School of Business advisor at your campus if there is a course you must take for sequencing or graduation in the upcoming term.

If you are a continuing/current student who missed initial registration and wait-listing for the upcoming term or are not eligible for wait-listing, there is lots of registration movement and a seat may open up in the course in one of the following ways:

  • Students continually add and drop classes once registration opens for the term after initial registration and wait-listing. Activity is especially high from the first day of classes until the add deadline. If you are persistent in checking, you may be successful in adding the course.
  • Dhillon courses that are initially restricted by campus, program or major will have restrictions dropped as shown in the tables at the bottom of the Dhillon Course Registration webpage, which may result in possible available seats. In the timetable on the , click on the course "Title" link and then on "Restrictions" to see if a course is restricted to particular campus, program, or major.

The Fall 2026 wait-listing form will open March 16 @ 9am and close Mar 26 @ 9am.

Code
This 12-digit code must be obtained from a Dhillon School of Business Advisor. The code is not a guarantee you will get in the course, but is required. Submissions without a valid wait-list code will be discarded without notice.

Please enter your full name in the following format: Last/Family name, First/Given name.  For example, SMITH, John.
Enter a valid @uleth.ca email address only.
Select the Dhillon program you will officially be in for the upcoming term.
Use CTRL key to select more than one option.  Select the Dhillon major(s) you will officially be in for the upcoming term.
In how many courses are you currently enrolled for the upcoming term for which you are wait-listing? NOTE: If you are enrolled in 5 courses, be sure to fill in a course to be dropped below for each wait-list course.
Lethbridge Dhillon Course to be Wait-listed
Enter ONE ONLY course subject (ACCT, AGEM, DGTR, FINC, HRLR, IGBM, IMGT, MGT, and MKTG) and number for the Dhillon School of Business course you would like to add. For example, ACCT 3100.
Indicate ALL Lethbridge sections of the course that work with your other registered courses. For example, A1 or B.
Indicate ALL Lethbridge CRNs for the course that work with your other registered courses.  For example, 10035 or 10036.
Indicate why you were not able to register in this course during initial registration and why you must take this course in the upcoming term.
Course to be Dropped (if registered in 5 courses)
Indicate the course subject and number of the course to be dropped to make room for the wait-listed course. For example, MUSI 1000.
Permission
By clicking the submit button below, I authorize a Dhillon School of Business Advisor to submit an add/drop form to the Registrar's office on my behalf for the courses indicated in the form above.
