New Users

Self-enroll in the Innovation Zone Moodle Course. You must fully complete the orientation course and sign the current academic year's waiver before you begin training on specific equipment in the Innovation Zone.

Existing Users

A new waiver is required to access the Innovation Zone each academic year. Returning users will need to sign the current year's waiver to continue using the Innovation Zone.

Accessing Equipment in the Innovation Zone

Before you can book specific equipment in the Innovation Zone you must fully complete the online and in-person training for each type of equipment. Follow these steps: 

1. Moodle Equipment Modules

   • Explore the equipment modules in Moodle to discover the types of equipment located in the Innovation Zone
   • Complete the equipment training modules for the specific equipment you are interested in 
     • Read and acknowledge the equipment specific Lab Hazard Assessments
        

2. In-person Equipment Training

   • After you have completed the Moodle Modules, and demonstrate your knowledge of how to use the equipment properly. 
      

3. Use the links in the pictures below to book specific equipment in the Innovation Zone for a certain time.

*Training must be fully completed for each type of equipment before you can book it.  Orientation Course and Equipment Training Modules only need to be completed once.
