The Accessibility, Belonging and Community (ABC) strategy focuses on four strategic areas:

Our Mandate:

 

  1. Build institutional knowledge and capacity on human rights legislation, employment equity, and support institutional collective agreements;
  2. Develop and support a comprehensive framework that guides our approach to embedding Accessibility, Belonging and Community into research, teaching and organizational culture;
  3. Build and support accountability at all levels of the organization for ABC matters in regard to harassment and discrimination policies, occupational health and safety, as well as provincial requirements for respectful workplace provisions;
  4. Ensure that ABC supports the strategic direction of the institutional plan; and
  5. Work towards creating an authentic sense of belonging and community for all students and employees at the 免费福利资源在线看片 of Lethbridge.

 

Human Rights Legislation

 

Human Rights legislation, particularly the Alberta Human Rights Act, is at the core of the Accessibility, Belonging and Community Office quest. As a provider of services to the public (students, employees, and guests), the 免费福利资源在线看片 has a responsibility not only to comply but also to proactively promote advancement on issues like accessibility and accommodation, workplace discrimination and harassment prevention, and overall best employment practices.
