schema:articleBody"> <p>On Mar. 7, the Government of Alberta introduced the 2013-14 provincial budget. By now, many in our community will have read or heard of the financial impact this budget will have on the two post-secondary institutions in our city &ndash; Lethbridge College and the Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ of Lethbridge. At the Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ alone, this financial impact is a reduction of $11.9 million for this coming year and for every year that follows.<br> <br> Having served as Chair of the Board of Governors for Lethbridge College and now as Chair of the Board of Governors of the Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ of Lethbridge, and as a graduate of the Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬, I've been afforded the opportunity to witness the quality teaching and research conducted at these institutions. I have seen and experienced the dedication and commitment of the faculty and staff to students in all programs and their devotion to their respective fields of teaching, research and creative exploration. I, like many thousands in our community, enjoy the fine arts productions, and the continuing education offerings. I cheer for the Kodiak and Pronghorn athletic programs, I use the facilities regularly, I attend the lectures and am grateful for the unique benefits afforded to Lethbridge by having two outstanding post-secondary institutions in our hometown &ndash; a rarity in Canada for any city of our size. I am also concerned of the impact these reductions and proposed changes to the post-secondary education system in our province will have on our Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ and College.<br> <br> The financial constraints being imposed on both the Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ and College are significant and given the role both institutions play in our city, they will be felt well beyond the walls of the Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ and College. As significant are the concerns raised by the Letters of Expectation presented to each of the 26 post-secondary institutions in Alberta. The Letters are still in draft form and I remain hopeful that they will accomplish what both the Premier and Minister of Enterprise and Advanced Education have suggested - that our Universities and Colleges will comprise a world class post-secondary system renowned for its contributions to all elements of our society and a system that prepares students to be the citizens and leaders of tomorrow. While there is always room for improvement and greater efficiency, I would argue that we are already well on our way to accomplishing this vision for our system.<br> <br> There is much public speculation about the responsiveness of Alberta institutions to the needs of students and the needs of employers. Both the Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ and College are leaders in the province when it comes to collaboration and accessibility. It was the vision of successive Lethbridge MLA's John Gogo and Clint Dunford that created the concept of Campus Alberta. In turn, it was the Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ of Lethbridge and Lethbridge College that created the standard for easy and seamless transfer for students in programs like Nursing and now in Management. The Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ shares a campus with Concordia Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ College in Edmonton and early next month will celebrate a partnership with Bow Valley College, Athabasca Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ and Olds College in downtown Calgary that truly is expressive of what the Campus Alberta concept can and should be.<br> <br> As for responsiveness to the needs of employers, I can speak from personal experience that my Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ education prepared me well for my career and it prepared me well to be an active and engaged contributor to my community. Personal passion and curiosity are hallmarks of the most successful people in our society. As such, the education a student receives during their post-secondary experience at times will be targeted specifically to a particular job but should also be reflective and preparatory of the long and varied career the individual has before them. Given this, there is a significant role for both the College and the Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ in the creation of the workforce for our province and there is a significant role for all of the academic programs offered as it is these programs that enable individuals to pursue their personal passions and curiosity.<br> <br> The Board of the Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ is incredibly diligent and committed to the fiduciary responsibilities assigned to it and the members take seriously the stewardship role that is imparted to them when they accept the volunteer role of Board member. I know from experience that the College Board has the same level of commitment. Any suggestion that there is wastefulness or "fat" at either school is false. I know the Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ operates very cost-effectively because our Board demands it of the administration. The resources of the Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ are specifically targeted to the areas that are of greatest importance &ndash; the students and the programs. National recognition bestowed on the Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ speaks to this. Maclean's consistently ranks the Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ of Lethbridge very high and most recently placed the Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ 3rd nationally. Research Infosource recognized the Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ as Canada's Research Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ of the Year &ndash; Undergraduate Category this year. These are significant accomplishments and illustrate clearly the quality of the Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ we have in our community. They also display a momentum that the Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ has created and it is this momentum that I am hopeful will not be lost as a result of our current challenge. This is a Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ we should be proud of not only for its accomplishments but because it is our Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ - born of our community and fought for diligently by our civic, business and community leaders in the 1960's.<br> <br> I am hopeful that the outcome of the current provincial dialogue will not diminish the quality or reputations of our Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ and College. We owe that to those who helped create these institutions and more importantly, we owe that to those who have yet to experience these great institutions.<br> <br> Sincerely,<br> <br> Gord Jong<br> Chair, Board of Governors<br> The Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ of Lethbridge</p> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field-group-format group_related_topics field-group-div group-related-topics block-title-body as the U of L's food provider was, after a long and inclusive process, finalized at today's Board of Governors meeting.<br> <br> After conducting a thorough and extensive review of food services on campus, the U of L released a Request for Proposal for campus food services in the summer of 2012. This began the most transformative food services change at the U of L in 30 years.<br> <br> Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ of Lethbridge president Mike Mahon says that a high-quality student experience is a critical factor weighed by prospective students when choosing a university. This is especially important for the U of L, as 70 per cent of its students come from outside the Lethbridge area.<br> <br> "The Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ of Lethbridge prides itself on the experience it offers its students," says Mahon. "We recognize that food quality is critical to that experience, and we are thrilled that our campus community will be provided with a variety of high-quality food options for the foreseeable future."<br> <br> The process in choosing a new food vendor included many campus constituency groups, the most critical being students. Students were surveyed, invited to participate in discussion groups and included as members of the final selection committee.<br> <br> "We have listened to what our students have told us about the importance of food services on campus. It was critical to have them included in the process of choosing a food services provider," says Mahon.<br> <br> Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ of Lethbridge Students' Union President Armin Escher says students benefit greatly from a variety of food options, and that he is looking forward to experiencing the transformation of food services at the Lethbridge campus.<br> <br> "A variety of food options not only adds to the quality of campus life for students, but high-quality offerings are essential for student health and student success," says Escher.<br> <br> In approving the agreement with ARAMARK, board members focused in part on the link between providing high quality food and the ability of the Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ to recruit students.<br> <br> "In order for the Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ of Lethbridge to continue to flourish as a destination university, food options and the quality of those options are critical. Providing good food to our campus community will attract students to our campus," says board member Kathleen Willms.<br> <br> ARAMARK is a leader in professional services, providing award-winning food services, facilities management, and uniform and career apparel to health care institutions, universities and school districts, stadiums and arenas, and businesses around the world.<br> <br> "ARAMARK is proud to partner with the Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ of Lethbridge to enhance the living and learning environment on campus," says Brian Struthers, Regional Vice President, ARAMARK Canada Higher Education.<br> <br> "We look forward to serving the entire campus community. In spring 2013, there will be many enhancements made on campus in preparation for the fall semester and beyond. ARAMARK will be investing in the campus community with new dining venues that include a mix of national and proprietary brands."<br> <br> The U of L's 10-year agreement with ARAMARK commences on May 1, 2013.</p> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field-group-format group_related_topics field-group-div group-related-topics block-title-body speed-fast effect-none"><h2><span>Related Topics</span></h2><div class="field field-name-opencalais-company-tags field-type-taxonomy-term-reference field-label-above"><div class="field-label">Company:&nbsp;</div><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even"><a href="/unews/company/aramark-canada" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">ARAMARK Canada</a></div><div class="field-item odd"><a href="/unews/company/aramark-canada-higher-education" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">ARAMARK Canada Higher Education</a></div></div></div><div class="field field-name-opencalais-facility-tags field-type-taxonomy-term-reference field-label-above"><div class="field-label">Facility:&nbsp;</div><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even"><a href="/unews/facility/lethbridge-campus" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">Lethbridge campus</a></div><div class="field-item odd"><a href="/unews/facility/university-lethbridge" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ of Lethbridge</a></div><div class="field-item even"><a href="/unews/facility/campus-january" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">campus January</a></div></div></div><div class="field field-name-opencalais-industryterm-tags field-type-taxonomy-term-reference field-label-above"><div class="field-label">IndustryTerm:&nbsp;</div><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even"><a href="/unews/industry-term/onsite-food-services" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">onsite food services</a></div><div class="field-item odd"><a href="/unews/industry-term/facilities-management" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">facilities management</a></div><div class="field-item even"><a href="/unews/industry-term/food-vendor-coming" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">food vendor coming</a></div><div class="field-item odd"><a href="/unews/industry-term/transformative-food-services" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">transformative food services</a></div><div class="field-item even"><a href="/unews/industry-term/food-services" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">food services</a></div><div class="field-item odd"><a href="/unews/industry-term/food-quality" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">food quality</a></div><div class="field-item even"><a href="/unews/industry-term/food-options" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">food options</a></div><div class="field-item odd"><a href="/unews/industry-term/campus-constituency-groups" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">campus constituency groups</a></div><div class="field-item even"><a href="/unews/industry-term/campus-food-services" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">campus food services</a></div><div class="field-item odd"><a href="/unews/industry-term/food" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">food</a></div></div></div><div class="field field-name-opencalais-organization-tags field-type-taxonomy-term-reference field-label-above"><div class="field-label">Organization:&nbsp;</div><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even"><a href="/unews/organization/university-lethbridge" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ of Lethbridge</a></div><div class="field-item odd"><a href="/unews/organization/lethbridge-students-union" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">Lethbridge Students&#039; For alumnus Perry Stein (BA&#39;09 Great Distinction), attending the Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ of Lethbridge was more like writing an entire book.</p><p>&quot;I grew up in the suburbs of Calgary and felt like an introverted student in high school. I didn&#39;t want to be that anymore. Going to school somewhere else gives you an opportunity to somewhat re-define who you are,&quot; says Stein. &quot; At the Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ of Lethbridge, I didn&#39;t want to be just a student who showed up for classes and then went home. I wanted to be involved in things, get the most out of my degree and have a really meaningful experience.&quot;</p><p>Intrigued by the diversity he remembered seeing when he went to school in downtown Calgary, Stein initially enrolled in <a href="http://www.uleth.ca/calgary/content/bachelor-management-international-management" rel="nofollow">international management</a> at the<br /> U of L. However, his excellent marks in another discipline garnered attention and soon led him elsewhere.<div class="image-caption-container" style="width:500px;"><img alt="Perry Stein" src="/unews/sites/default/files/main/articles/alumni-stein.jpg" title="Alumnus Perry Stein threw himself into an active student lifestyle and redefined his future."><div class="image-caption">Alumnus Perry Stein threw himself into an active student lifestyle and redefined his future.</div></div></p><p>&quot;After taking a couple of <a href="http://www.uleth.ca/fas/geo" rel="nofollow">geography</a> classes, I actually got a letter from someone in the geography department telling me I should consider geography,&quot; says Stein. &quot;I took a bunch of courses in urban geography and loved it, so I added a second major: <a href="http://www.uleth.ca/fas/urs" rel="nofollow">urban and regional studies</a>.&quot;</p><p>He excelled in his new line of study, culminating with him winning the 2009 Urban and Regional Studies Prize, one of two awards generously donated by the Alberta Professional Planners Institute (formerly the Alberta Association, Canadian Institute of Planners). It is awarded annually to the graduating urban and regional studies student with the highest cumulative grade point average.</p><p>Stein&#39;s personal redefinition was not limited to his academic performance at the Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬. Walking down the hall one day, Stein saw a poster advertising a one-month new media course in Romania. Another world was about to open.</p><p>&quot;I never really thought about travel before, but I was interested in expanding my horizons. Going to Romania was an incredible experience. It led me to everything I have done since,&quot; says Stein. &quot;I think it is really good for students to go outside their comfort zone and be thrown into a different culture, and to challenge some of the stereotypes that they carry around with them. It forces them to realize that the way of life in North America is not the only way of life and that what they think is best, isn&#39;t always best for everyone.&quot;</p><p>While in Romania, Stein learned he was accepted to a six-month cultural exchange program in Chile, through the Faculty of Management. His Chilean courses, offered in Spanish, focused on urban social geography and international management. One of the highlights of the exchange was a social work class that allowed him to take groups of marginalized children on field trips through their own city.</p><p>&quot;Chile was awesome. It was probably one of the greatest opportunities I have ever had,&quot; says Stein. &quot;I still have contact with a lot of the friends I made there. Working and playing with the kids was an incredible experience.&quot;</p><p>When he returned from Chile, Stein switched to a single major in urban and regional studies. He did several independent studies with Dr. Patrick Wilson that led to another exchange, this time to the Ecuadorian Amazon and to Quito Ecuador. Wilson introduced Stein to <a href="http://www.lpirg.org/" rel="nofollow">LPIRG</a> (Lethbridge Public Interest Research Group), who later funded further exchange trips for Stein, including one to Cuba. He eventually became a board member of LPIRG, organizing events and presenting documentaries on campus.</p><p>Stein, who will complete a master&#39;s degree in Latin American Studies in December, along with a certificate in development and sustainability studies at<a href="http://www.sfu.ca/" rel="nofollow"> Simon Fraser Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬</a>, believes that the opportunities he had at the U of L changed his life dramatically.</p><p>&quot;My time at the U of L really prepared me for graduate school. I learned how to create research proposals and apply for funding; I learned how a non-profit research organization works,&quot; says Stein. &quot;I would encourage all students to get involved in issues that you are passionate about. Get involved in activities on campus, find interesting projects and get involved in research. There are so many opportunities out there and if they aren&#39;t in your area of interest, create them.&quot;</p><p><strong>GET THE FACTS</strong></p><p>&middot; Stein played a role in establishing the Student Speaker Challenge in conjunction with the <a href="http://www.sacpa.ca/" rel="nofollow">Southern Alberta Council on Public Affairs</a>.</p><p>&middot; Stein obtained more than $70,000 in scholarships and research grants while at the U of L, including the <a href="http://www.sshrc-crsh.gc.ca/funding-financement/programs-programmes/fellowships/cgs_masters-besc_maitrise-eng.aspx" rel="nofollow">SSHRC Bombardier Graduate scholarship</a>, which was worth $17,500.</p><p>&middot; He has travelled to more than 20 countries to participate in fieldwork, including Chile, Ecuadorian Amazon, Quito Ecuador, Cuba and Mexico.</p><p>&middot; Stein&#39;s passion for urban social issues has him looking at a career in government. &quot;I would like to work in the area of sustainable community development and make a difference in municipal government,&quot; he says. &quot;I also plan on completing my PhD in the near future.&quot;</p><p>&middot; Stein won the 2009 Urban and Regional Studies Award as presented by the <a href="http://www.albertaplanners.com/" rel="nofollow">Alberta Professional Planners Institute</a>.</p><p><em>For a look at the full issue of the November He regularly attends special occasions and sporting events at the Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ of Lethbridge, and participates in committees, fundraisers, celebrations, campaigns, and special presentations.</p> <p>Hironaka has been an active member of the <a href="http://alumni.uleth.ca" rel="nofollow">Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ of Lethbridge Alumni Association</a> for several years, in many roles, from executive officer to member at large. afternoon in TH241.</p> <p>Forced Extinction: The Story of the Sinixt Nation delves into their struggle against Canada, colonialism and extinction. Presented by James, who works part time for Selkirk College as an aboriginal advisor, the talk begins at 12:15 p.m. and is open to everyone.</p> <p>The Sinixt are a tribe of the Interior Salish peoples. They share a common linguistic connection to the Interior Salish but are dialectically distinct. The Sinixt were declared extinct by the federal government of Canada in 1956 through a Federal Order in Council. The Sinixt have occupied a site at Vallican, BC since 1988 and have remained committed to cultural and environmental work since that time as community members within their traditional territory. Cultural work has consisted of the repatriation of ancestral remains, conducting annual ceremonies, gathering local landscape foods and upholding cultural responsibilities for the traditional territory and all resources and members held therein.</p> <p>James has developed indigenized curriculum sets for local school districts and is featured online in a partnership with school district #79.</p> <p>She sits on many boards and committees dedicated to community services and education, and holds a bachelor of arts degree from Evergreen State College and a master of education from Simon Fraser Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬. James is also the appointed spokesperson of Sinixt Nation and a board member for Sinixt Nation Society.</p> <p>This event is presented by the <a href="http://lpirg.blogspot.com" rel="nofollow">Lethbridge Public Interest Research Group</a>.</p> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field-group-format group_related_topics field-group-div group-related-topics block-title-body speed-fast effect-none"><h2><span>Related Topics</span></h2><div class="field field-name-opencalais-company-tags field-type-taxonomy-term-reference field-label-above"><div class="field-label">Company:&nbsp;</div><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even"><a href="/unews/company/sinixt-nation" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">Sinixt Nation</a></div><div class="field-item odd"><a href="/unews/company/lethbridge-public-interest-research-group" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">Lethbridge Public Interest Research Group</a></div></div></div><div class="field field-name-opencalais-facility-tags field-type-taxonomy-term-reference field-label-above"><div class="field-label">Facility:&nbsp;</div><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even"><a href="/unews/facility/selkirk-college" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">Selkirk College</a></div><div class="field-item odd"><a href="/unews/facility/evergreen-state-college" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">Evergreen State College</a></div><div class="field-item even"><a href="/unews/facility/simon-fraser-university" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">Simon Fraser Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬</a></div></div></div><div class="field field-name-opencalais-organization-tags field-type-taxonomy-term-reference field-label-above"><div class="field-label">Organization:&nbsp;</div><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even"><a href="/unews/organization/evergreen-state-college" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">Evergreen State College</a></div><div class="field-item odd"><a href="/unews/organization/selkirk-college" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">Selkirk College</a></div><div class="field-item even"><a href="/unews/organization/simon-fraser-university" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">Simon Fraser Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬</a></div><div class="field-item odd"><a href="/unews/organization/federal-government" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">federal government</a></div><div class="field-item even"><a href="/unews/organization/sinixt-nation-society" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">Sinixt Nation Society</a></div></div></div><div class="field field-name-opencalais-person-tags field-type-taxonomy-term-reference field-label-above"><div class="field-label">Person:&nbsp;</div><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even"><a href="/unews/person/marilyn-james" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">Marilyn James</a></div></div></div><div class="field field-name-opencalais-position-tags field-type-taxonomy-term-reference field-label-above"><div class="field-label">Position:&nbsp;</div><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even"><a href="/unews/position/spokesperson" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">spokesperson</a></div><div class="field-item odd"><a href="/unews/position/aboriginal-advisor" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">aboriginal advisor</a></div><div class="field-item even"><a href="/unews/position/board-member" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">board member</a></div></div></div></div><span property="rnews:name schema:name" content="James presents Sinixt struggle" class="rdf-meta"></span> Thu, 18 Mar 2010 16:00:15 +0000 trevor.kenney 4603 at /unews
