The topic up for debate in this session is: Our Current Crisis: What Does Change Mean In Our World Today?<br> <br> The Changing the World Student Speaker Challenge is an initiative of SACPA on Campus, which is a collaboration between the ULSU, LPIRG (Lethbridge Public Interest Research Group) and SACPA (Southern Alberta Council on Public Affairs).<br> <br> SACPA on Campus has a mandate to encourage thought and discourse outside of the classic lecture style to students and the university community at large. In keeping with this, SACPA on Campus has developed an interactive format that encourages discussion and open discourse with one another and with the presenter during events. This style gives students the chance to question and discuss what they have just learned and encourages a more open exchange of ideas.<br> <br> Admission to this event is free and everyone is welcome to attend. Bring your friends and bring your critical thinking skills, as you will have an opportunity to challenge the speakers on their theses.<br> <br> Session three of the challenge is scheduled for Tuesday, Mar. 10.</p> </div> </div> </div> <div class="field-group-format group_related_topics field-group-div group-related-topics block-title-body speed-fast effect-none"><h2><span>Related Topics</span></h2><div class="field field-name-opencalais-company-tags field-type-taxonomy-term-reference field-label-above"><div class="field-label">Company:&nbsp;</div><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even"><a href="/unews/company/ulsu" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">ULSU</a></div><div class="field-item odd"><a href="/unews/company/lethbridge-public-interest-research-group" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">Lethbridge Public Interest Research Group</a></div></div></div><div class="field field-name-opencalais-facility-tags field-type-taxonomy-term-reference field-label-above"><div class="field-label">Facility:&nbsp;</div><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even"><a href="/unews/facility/students-union-building" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">Students&#039; Union Building</a></div><div class="field-item odd"><a href="/unews/facility/ballroom-0" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">Ballroom A.</a></div></div></div><div class="field field-name-opencalais-organization-tags field-type-taxonomy-term-reference field-label-above"><div class="field-label">Organization:&nbsp;</div><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even"><a href="/unews/organization/southern-alberta-council-public-affairs" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">Southern Alberta Council on Public Affairs</a></div></div></div><div class="field field-name-opencalais-person-tags field-type-taxonomy-term-reference field-label-above"><div class="field-label">Person:&nbsp;</div><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even"><a href="/unews/person/trish-silk" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">Trish Silk</a></div><div class="field-item odd"><a href="/unews/person/josh-pollard" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">Josh Pollard</a></div></div></div><div class="field field-name-opencalais-position-tags field-type-taxonomy-term-reference field-label-above"><div class="field-label">Position:&nbsp;</div><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even"><a href="/unews/position/speaker" typeof="skos:Concept" property="rdfs:label skos:prefLabel">Speaker</a></div></div></div></div><span property="rnews:name schema:name" content="Students square off in Challenge" class="rdf-meta"></span> Tue, 03 Mar 2009 17:32:58 +0000 trevor.kenney 5311 at /unews
