meeting of specialists in the calibration and validation of infrared and visible optical data from Earth observation satellites.<br> <br> Tuesday and Wednesday (Aug. 11 and 12), approximately 30 researchers from as far away as Brazil and Israel will meet at the U of L.<br> <br> These specialists are members of the Infrared Visible Optical Sensors (IVOS) Subgroup of the Working Group on Calibration and Validation (WGCV) of the international <a href="http://www.ceos.org" rel="nofollow">Committee on Earth Observation Satellites</a> (CEOS).<br> <br> The IVOS mission is to ensure high quality calibration and validation of infrared and visible optical data from Earth observation satellites and validation of higher level products.<br> <br> This is accomplished via international
