Horns look to clinch playoff berth

The playoff push is on for the Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ of Lethbridge men's hockey team.

Returning home to play the final four games of the regular season, the Horns (13-11-0) sit in fourth spot in the standings and need just one point to clinch a playoff berth. Friday and Saturday they will play host to Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ of Calgary Dinos (9-14-1), a team the Horns have beaten in each of their four previous meetings this season.

A home playoff date is also within reach for the Pronghorns, who have a four-point lead on both Regina and Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ of British Columbia. The top six teams make playoffs with the top two seeds (Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ of Alberta and Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ of Saskatchewan) receiving first round playoff byes. The third and fourth finishers earn home playoff dates. Pronghorns are four points back of third-place Manitoba Bisons but have two games in hand.

Pronghorns will close out the regular season next weekend, Feb. 20-21, with two home games against the Alberta Golden Bears. Game times this weekend are 7 p.m. both nights at Nicholas Sheran Arena.
