As a student, Aaron Nakama (BA '98) was actively involved in the Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ of Lethbridge community through his work at the campus radio station. Reflecting on his experience, he can see how the opportunities he had at the Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ helped shape his future.
"My time at the U of L was about figuring out what interested me," says Nakama. "Looking back, I can see how my choices evolved over the course of my degree. It was not easy but it provided a strong foundation for future opportunities."
Since graduating from the U of L 14 years ago, Nakama has worked in a variety of fields – everything from broadcasting to technical recruitment. He is currently the senior technical recruiter at Fujitsu Consulting (Canada) Inc.
"Because of the liberal arts education I had at the U of L I am a well-rounded, global citizen, agile enough to take on new opportunities as they present themselves. The U of L enabled me to explore my interests and make connections with faculty, staff and other students that I rely on to this day. I give back to show my thanks."
