Open in Case of Graduation: Graduate Peer Mentors Workshop

This event is from the archives of The Notice Board. The event has already taken place and the information contained in this post may no longer be relevant or accurate.

Hosted by your Graduate Peer Mentors in the Science Commons Atrium from Noon to 1 p.m. Reading Week is over, and the term is about to pick up speed again. Before things get busy, take a moment for yourself.

Drop by the Graduate Peer Mentor table anytime between Noon and 1 p.m. to write a letter to your future self, the one who will be crossing the stage, finishing the research or completing the project. This is a simple, meaningful pause before the term ramps up.

Graduate Peer Mentors will be on hand with reflection prompts, encouraging conversation and a supportive space to help you reconnect with your goals and hopes for the rest of the term. And of course, to give you a snack!

What’s Provided: Cards, paper, envelopes and craft supplies • Optional reflection prompts • Grab‑and‑go snacks • A relaxed, welcoming drop‑in space

What to Bring: Nothing required, bring your own stationery only if you’d like to personalize your letter.

Who’s Welcome: All graduate students (certificate, master’s and PhD). No registration required.

Take five minutes. Write to your future self. Ground yourself before the rush.
