In a free country, your property is yours. But in Canada, property is regulated, restricted, taxed, and expropriated. Aboriginal title has been declared 鈥渟enior and prior鈥 to private fee simple interests. Provincial and federal governments grant First Nations co-management rights over land and resources.Threats to property diminish land values, stifle investment and make the country poor. But that鈥檚 just the half of it. Property is an element of liberty itself. To undermine a free people, erode the security of their property.
