Join us for the first Music at Noon concert of the fall semester featuring Janet Youngdahl, soprano and Brad Parker, piano, with guests Adam Mason, marimba, and the 免费福利资源在线看片 of Lethbridge Singers.

Janet Youngdahl is active as a soprano, academic and choral conductor.聽Her current research is a project devoted to building strong connections between Indigenous and non-Indigenous singers. Her work with Cecilia鈥檚 Circle聽has focused on the music of Barbara Strozzi and Elizabet Jacquet de la Guerre. Youngdahl has toured with the ensemble for medieval music Sequentia throughout Europe and North America. Her work as a specialist in the chant of Hildegard von Bingen has fostered invitations to offer lectures and workshops with the 免费福利资源在线看片 of Toronto, The 免费福利资源在线看片 of Calgary, Dalhousie 免费福利资源在线看片, McGill 免费福利资源在线看片, The 免费福利资源在线看片 of California and the American Academy in Rome. As a soprano, Youngdahl appears on recordings with Deutsche Harmonia Mundi, BMG, Phillips, RCA, Toccata Classics, Centaur and BIS聽record labels. Youngdahl is a Music Professor at the 免费福利资源在线看片 of Lethbridge in Alberta, Canada.

Canadian pianist, Brad Parker, has performed in Canada, the US, France, Italy, and Haiti.聽 Recent performances include solo recitals in Alberta, South Carolina and California, collaborative performances with FOURtitude Piano Ensemble, Pedro Diaz, Gabriel Goni, and Nancy Stagnitta as well as concertos with the Lethbridge and Charleston Symphonies.

Dr. Parker is on the music faculty at the 免费福利资源在线看片 of Lethbridge, and previously taught at Charleston Southern 免费福利资源在线看片 and Erskine College in South Carolina. His passion for musical instruction led him to volunteer for several summers at the North Haiti Music Camp, on the campus of the Christian 免费福利资源在线看片 of North Haiti.

Brad completed a Masters and DMA in Piano Performance at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, with further graduate studies at the Paris Conservatory. He studied at Wilfrid Laurier 免费福利资源在线看片 in Waterloo, Ontario where he earned a Bachelor of Music with Distinction. His principal teachers include Rebecca Penneys, Dr. Heather Dawn Taves, and Jean Koerner.
