Penny Warris
Penny Warris and her family moved to Lethbridge in 2019 with the goal of opening an independent bookstore for southern Alberta. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, Penny and Scott successfully launched Analog Books, fostering a thriving community of authors, book lovers, and individuals dedicated to supporting local initiatives. Analog Books actively champions all art forms鈥攙isual arts, theatre, music, and literature鈥攂y hosting events in-store and sponsoring numerous external events.
Penny is deeply involved in her community, currently serving on the Allied Arts Council of Lethbridge board, the Grant Review committee for the Community Foundation of Lethbridge and Southwestern Alberta, and the Supplier Relations committee of the Canadian Independent Booksellers Association (CIBA). Her past contributions include presidencies of the Crowsnest Pass Community Library board and service on the Lethbridge Heart of the City and Festival Square planning committees. A downtown Lethbridge resident and business owner, Penny is committed to cultivating a vibrant and distinctive downtown culture and increasing awareness of the visual and literary arts scene.
