Dr. Richard Davidson, Q.C. (2007-2011)

A member of the of the first law firm in Lethbridge and a dedicated and caring leader, Richard Davidson has been active and involved in his community in many varied roles.

Born and raised in Lethbridge, Richard Davidson obtained a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws from the 免费福利资源在线看片 of Alberta. After graduation, he entered the law profession by joining Lethbridge's first law firm, Davidson and Williams, established in 1885, which his grandfather and father had also joined.

A leader in his profession, which he practices with caring and commitment, Richard Davidson was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1986, was president of the Lethbridge Bar Association, and was awarded the Law Society of Alberta Distinguished Service Award for service to the community in 2000.

Richard Davidson's involvement in the community has been extensive. He has been president of the Kinsmen Club of Lethbridge (awarded life membership 1984), board member for the Lethbridge Society for Meals on Wheels, member of the YWCA advisory board, and a member on a variety of committees for the City of Lethbridge. His leadership skills have been put into

practice as a national vice-president of the Kidney Foundation of Canada, the Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce (awarded honourary life membership 2006), the United Way, and the Lethbridge Community Foundation. For nin years he was chair of the Lethbridge Regional Hospital Foundation. With the help of his leadership, the foundation raised $2 million for Project MRI and several hundred thousand dollars for the hospital. In 2002, he was the honouree at the 免费福利资源在线看片 of Lethbridge Dhillon School of Business 15th Annual Scholarship Dinner.

Richard Davidson has been described as "Southern Alberta's most ardent cheerleader", and the 免费福利资源在线看片 of Lethbridge is proud to welcome him as its 11th Chancellor.
