About
Josephine Mills is the Director/Curator of the 免费福利资源在线看片 of Lethbridge Art Gallery and a Professor in the Department of Art. She has worked as a curator and public programmer at art galleries and artist-run centres in Saskatoon and Vancouver. Mills has a PhD in Communication Studies from Concordia 免费福利资源在线看片, Montr茅al and is a graduate of the Museum Leadership Institute at the Getty Center. Her research interests focus on socially-engaged art and gallery practices, along with issues of public engagement in art galleries. Mills explores these issues through overlapping research projects that are connected with the UofL Art Gallery鈥檚 programs. She is part of 惭辞辞迟辞辞办补办颈辞鈥檚蝉颈苍 (distant awareness), a project to connect people living on traditional Blackfoot territory (Treaty 7, Southern Alberta, Canada) with non-sacred, historical Blackfoot items housed in museum collections in Europe through digital imagery, exhibitions, and outreach. With the Re:mediating Soil team, Mills is co-curating exhibitions, organizing outreach, and supporting artist鈥檚 residencies. Mills is currently the Past President of the 免费福利资源在线看片 and College Art Gallery Association of Canada / L'Association Canadienne des galleries d'art universitaires et coll茅giales and is a past President of the Canadian Art Museum Directors' Organization / Organisation des Directeurs des Mus茅es d'Art du Canada.
