Biography
I grew up in Calgary and completed my B.A. (Honours and Co-op) at the U of C in 1992. After finishing my M.A. at UVic in 1994 and Ph.D. at York Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ in 2001, I was appointed the first Post-Doctoral Associate at the Howard Lamar Center for the Study of Frontiers and Borders at Yale Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬. I taught American and Canadian history at the Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ of Winnipeg in 2002-03, and joined the Ãâ·Ñ¸£Àû×ÊÔ´ÔÚÏß¿´Æ¬ of Lethbridge in 2003. I teach courses in World History, historiography and methodology, and the histories of the American and Canadian Wests. In 2018 I was awarded the U of L's Distinguished Teaching Award.
